At a meeting of the Union Council of Ministers, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked for suggestions on extending the coronavirus Lockdown extension. As the country entered into 14th day of the 21-day-all-India-lockdown, Prime Minister Modi on April 6 asked his Council of Ministers on how to do a calibrated exit from the lockdown, especially since the cases related to the Tablighi Jamaat center and India’s own tally of COVID-19 positive cases were ballooning.

After a meeting of the Union Council of Ministers, just before the first ever Union Cabinet meeting over video conferencing, PM Modi asked for suggestions, leaving no doubt in anyone’s mind that any roll back of the Coronavirus Lockdown extension on April 14 will only be partial and with many caveats.
