Match Overview

On the other hand, grabbing a thrilling win from Kings XI Punjab in their last match, Kolkata Night Riders was like nowhere in this contest. Their Bowling line up was totally missing the spark. They must have missed Sunil Narine, who was not in playing XI for this match. KKR gave chance to England’s so-called T20 specialist Tom Banton but he failed to prove himself in his debut match. Their batting line up collapsed very badly in front of RCB’s magnificent bowling. Opener Shubhman Gill was the only batsman who tried to struggle and put 34 runs on board. But unfortunately, it was not his day as he got run out on Eoin Morgan’s call. RCB’s power-play expert Washington Sunder and magical Chahal did not give any chance to KKR’s batsmen, to open their hands in middle overs. As a result, Kolkata’s team could only manage 112 runs after losing 9 wickets in 20 overs.

After this fantastic win over KKR, RCB Squad have managed to secure 3rd position in the points table. In spite of a shaking start, they have managed to get back their pace again in the tournament. However, KKR is on next to RCB in the points table. They don’t lack potential though, as they were going very good in previous matches. They just have to work hard on consistency and performance of the middle order. Let’s see what’s coming up next for these two teams.
