NEET 2020 Toppers Interview: National testing Agency NTA declared the exam result for NEET 2020 on 16 October 2020. Soyeb Aftab (AIR-1) from Rourkela, Odisha and Akanksha Singh (AIR-2) from Kushinagar UP created a history, as they have scored 720 marks out of 720. They are getting congratulations and best wishes from the celebrities across the country as well. Lockdown Became a Turning Point: Soyeb Aftab (AIR-1)
NEET 2020 topper Soyeb Aftab said that lockdown brought up an opportunity to concentrate on his preparations for NEET 2020. “Physics was always my favorite subject. I have focused on concepts rather than rote memorization. In physics, theoretical part was totally based on NCERT syllabus while for numeric section I have worked on previous years question papers”, Soyeb said. “I want to give all credit of this success to my mother who supported and encouraged me every time towards achieving my goals.” he added.
I used to Travel 70 Kilometers every day to reach my Coaching Center: Akanksha Singh (AIR-2)
When you work hard towards your aim, nothing can stop you by achieving it. The female topper of NEET 2020 Akanksha Singh proved that. Resident of a small village Abhinayakpur in Kushinagar District of Uttar Pradesh, Akanksha Singh scored 720 marks out of 720 in NEET 2020 Exam and became the female topper of India in NEET 2020. She also hold the toppers rank in the state. “Initially I wanted to go in Civil Services but when I was studying in class 10, I have decided to prepare for NEET. I used to travel 70 Kilometers every day from my home to coaching institute, which was in Gorakhpur. Later I came Delhi to pursue my higher secondary and coached for NEET there,” she said. Her father is Ex – Sargent in Indian Air Force and her mother is a school teacher. Asking about her strategy towards exam, she replied “I had a clear concept in mid, I used to focus on my goal and worked according that. Candidates who want to appear in NEET further, don’t be afraid of failure. Set your targets high and work hard to achieve them.”
NEET 2020 topper Guthi Chaitanya Sindhu who bagged AIR-6 with 715 marks says, ‘I always wanted to become either a doctor or a scientist and was always fond of biology and related sciences.”
As the small town girl also scored 720 marks in NEET 2020 exam just like Soyeb Aftab did, she slipped on 2nd position due to Tie breaker policy of NTA. According to the policy, preference given to the candidate according to the marks of biology followed by Chemistry. In case of tie again, the older candidate is preferred in Merit list. Soyeb Aftab was a few months older than Akanksha, therefor he was placed on top of the All India Ranking AIR.
