For admissions to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses in India offered by Medical/Dental Colleges approved by the Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament an All India entrance exam conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) which is named as NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test -PG). The number of seats available this time is 10,821 MS seats, 19,953 MD seats and 1,979 PG Diploma seats offered in 6,102 institutes including all government, private colleges as well as Deemed and Central Universities. There is an increment in the number of examination centers also, this time 162 with an increase of 14 centers from last year. In the new list Baramula, Bardohi and Kota are no longer exam centres.

NEET PG Eligibility Criteria

  • All the aspirants who are holding MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate which is recognized as per the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 can apply for the same.
  • The aspirants who were found ineligible at any stage in NEET PG are not permissible to sit in the exam.
  • All the aspirants such candidates who are completing internship after 31st March 2020 will be declared ineligible as per the rules of the officials.
  • Aspirants who have not done their graduation course from some unrecognized university or college will be declared ineligible.

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test PG Examination Pattern 2020

  • The exam will be conducted online.
  • All the questions will be of MCQ type (Part A, B and C) each containing 50, 100, 150 MCQs.
  • Total 300 questions will come in exam.
  • Total time allowed will be 3hrs and 30min.
  • Negative marking is there {Incorrect Answer: – 1 marks, Unanswered Question: 0 marks}.

These all are those documents which the candidate is supposed to take with him/her on the date of examination at the examination center.

  • NEET PG 2020 admit card.
  • A valid photo-identity proof like PAN/Aadhar/Driving License/Passport/Voter Id.
  • Photocopy of State Medical Council/Medical Council of India registration.
  • Original screening test pass certificate issued on NBE letterhead for Indian/OCI citizen who have obtained their Primary Medical Qualification outside India.
